Terms of Use
Last updated July 28, 2026
These are the ground rules for using Table Host, written in plain language. By creating an account, you're agreeing to them.
What Table Host is
Table Host is a marketplace that connects people who love to cook (Hosts) with people who want a home-cooked meal (Guests). We provide the platform for discovering dishes, booking a table, and paying securely — the meal itself is prepared and served by the host, not by Table Host.
As a guest
- Show up on time for bookings you've confirmed, or cancel with reasonable notice.
- Treat hosts and their homes with the same respect you'd want in your own.
- Let us and the host know about any allergies or dietary needs before booking.
- Leave honest reviews — they help other guests and hosts alike.
As a host
- Describe your dishes accurately, including ingredients and allergens.
- Keep your kitchen and food preparation clean and safe.
- Honor bookings you've accepted, and give as much notice as possible if you must cancel.
- Follow local food safety and licensing rules that apply in your area.
Payments & fees
Guests pay for bookings securely through Stripe at the time of booking. Table Host takes a small service fee from each booking to keep the platform running — the exact price you'll pay, fees included, is always shown before you confirm a booking. Hosts receive their payout after the booking is completed, minus the platform fee.
Cancellations & refunds
Plans change — if you need to cancel a booking or something went wrong with an order, contact us through the contact page and our support team will help sort out a refund where appropriate.
Keeping things fair
Table Host connects guests and hosts but isn't a party to the meal itself, so we ask everyone to act in good faith. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms, mistreat other users, or misuse the platform (for example, fraudulent payments or repeated no-shows).
