For Hosts
Become a host, publish dishes, manage reservations, and get paid.
For Hosts
Becoming a host
You don't need a separate account. From your profile menu, choose Become a host and provide:
- A short description of you and your cooking
- Your address (so guests can find you and filter by city)
- Your specialties
- The maximum number of guests you can handle per booking
That's it — there's no waiting period or approval step. Your host tools appear immediately.
You stay a guest too
Becoming a host doesn't remove your guest access. Your profile menu gains a Switch to guest mode / Switch to host mode toggle so you can order from other hosts with the same account.
Publishing a dish
Under My dishes, create a dish with:
- Name, description and photos — photos matter more than anything else for bookings
- Price and portions available
- Category and cuisine
- Preparation time and serving size
- Ingredients and allergens — allergens are shown prominently to guests
- Available days — the days of the week you're willing to cook it
- Location — where guests pick up from
Dishes can be saved as a Draft, set to Published so guests can find them, or Paused to temporarily take them off the marketplace without deleting them.
Keep your portions accurate
Portions decrease as guests reserve. When they hit zero the dish shows as sold out. Update the count whenever you cook more, or guests won't be able to order.
Managing reservations
Reservations lists incoming orders. For each one you can:
- Accept or decline it while it's pending
- Move it to In preparation when you start cooking
- Mark it Ready for pickup or delivery
- Mark it Completed once the guest has it
Declining a pending order automatically refunds the guest.
Moving orders along matters: guests see each status change, and only Completed orders can be reviewed.
Getting paid
Guests pay Table Host at checkout, not you directly. Your share of each completed order builds up as your balance, which you'll find under Business settings → Payouts.
A platform fee of 5% is deducted from each order.
Requesting a withdrawal
From Business settings → Payouts, enter an amount (minimum $10) and submit a request. What happens next:
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Pending | Submitted and waiting for review. The amount is held from your balance. |
| Approved | Reviewed and cleared. The transfer is being arranged. |
| Paid | The money has been sent. A payment reference is recorded against it. |
| Rejected | Declined — the full amount is returned to your balance, with a reason. |
One at a time
You can only have one withdrawal in progress. Once it's paid or rejected you can request another. Your full withdrawal history stays visible on the same page.
Connecting Stripe
You can optionally connect a Stripe account from the same page. This links your bank details for payouts and gives you access to the Stripe dashboard for your account. Withdrawals are still reviewed before being sent.
Your business settings
Business settings is the single place for your host account:
- Business profile — description, address, specialties, capacity
- Payouts — balance, withdrawals, Stripe connection
- Billing — subscription and plan information
